Dr. Wolstenholme is a Chiropractic Physician, Level 1 CrossFit Trainer and avid athlete who works with CrossFitters through a broad range of issues. He has an extensive background in fitness, health and wellness and and has a passion for teaching. Frustrated by the “treat the symptom” approach in healthcare. Dr. Wolstenholme’s approach is one of prevention and improved performance. There are hundreds if not thousands of lifestyle choices which, over years, create unbalanced strength and movement patterns. Ignoring your imbalances inevitably sets you up for a more severe injury down the road. A Functional Movement Screen helps to identify strengths and weaknesses by assessing mobility and stability.
Model of Care
Perform a Movement Screen on each athlete
Diagnose and treat correctable musculoskeletal pathology affecting proper movement of joints and muscles.
Prescribe exercises to address the mobility or stability issues affecting proper core and functional movement patterns.
Functional Movement Screen - Free 10-15 minutes
A seven movement test that requires a balance of mobility and stability. Observation of mobility and stability during the screen helps the Doctor identify asymmetries, imbalances and limitations that will affect larger functional movements like squats, dead lifts, lunges, jumping, walking and running.
Your Run Becomes Your Recovery Individual and Group lessons are available 60-90 minutes
This is a hands on clinic that will address the most common faults in running form. Efficiency and injury prevention in running is directly proportional to posture. You will learn to move from your core while maintaining strong, correct posture. Run with less impact by focusing on body position, foot strike, arm swing and cadence.
